70 Instagram Home Bakers

Last week I wanted to give some love to my followers and give some free Instagram shoutouts to any Home Bakers. Well, I had no idea I would get so many messages. I started to share a few on my Instagram, but after I posted a few I realised it would take a long long time for me to post and spam 100 stories.

So instead I thought its best to make a list and post in on the blog so it’s easy to access and thus keeping my promise! If you messaged me and you are not on the list I’m sorry! Comment below with you URL and I’ll add you.

Restaurants I visited in 2019

0

2019 was another exciting culinary adventure for me, the year brought loads to new halal openings and I was glad I discovered so many cool places. With it being the end of the year and all I thought Id share everywhere I ate.

There were over 30 new places I ate for the first time and 90 visits in total, down on my previous year, but that was due going on a Keto Diet for 2 months and also getting married.

Some places I ate more than once, those have been added here as well. Its sorted In order I visited, By Month. The Rating is based on my overall experience on that day, so the quality of food and my happiness with the service and day are the main factors. Also listed is if it’s my 1st time visiting and of course the Halal status.

Halal means All animal products are halal, however, Alcohol is most likely served at most of these places. So if that’s a factor in your decision on picking where to eat please double-check before visiting.

You can click on the Rating to sort the list (click twice) or you can go via alphabetical order.

The Best Restaurants Openings of 2019

0

2019 saw a wide range of new restaurants openings that offers halal options. It’s great to see that more and more businesses are catering to the needs of people seeking halal meat.

I was lucky enough to eat at a lot of restaurants in 2019. This year I tried to eat a wider range of food as I found the scene it was getting a little boring. I ate out less in 2019 compared with the previous year, because i went on a very strict diet called the Keto diet for 6 weeks, I managed to lose around 8kg with just diet. Oh and I also got married, so that diet was to look and feel good for my wedding day.

Here are a few of my favourite New openings of this past year. The restaurants here have all opened in 2019. In no particular order…

Robata

Address56 Old Compton St, Soho, London W1D 4UE

I had one of my best meals of 2019 at the Japanese restaurant @robata.soho. Some beautiful Japanese dishes.

The star of the show was the Hay Flamed Beef Fillet. At £25 for 200g of meat, its a pricey dish, but you get your own little Robata at your table and the accompanying sides that included chimichurri were just delicious.

The beef tataki was brilliant as was the sushi I had. I got 2 types of bao buns, fried chicken and soft shell crab. Both were just epic.

Prices are towards the mid-range to expensive side and the bill can add up pretty quick. I was given a complimentary £100 budget (including service) and blew through it quickly, so might be a good idea to go in a group to split the costs.

Please take note carefully. The beef and chicken are halal. However, items from the Robata Skewers section are cooked on the same grill as pork. Therefore there is confirmed cross-contamination. So I didn’t order from this part of the menu, coz I don’t want any chance of peppa pig juice on my chicken.

Second, some dishes marinated with sake and therefore have trace amounts of alcohol as product of the fermentation process. This personally is not an issue for me, as the bao buns are fried and any traces are cooked away in the high temperatures. However, if it’s of concern to you then maybe avoid these items as well.

Hotstone

Address9 Chapel Market, The Angel, London N1 9EZ

As a food blooger, I’m very fortunate to get to experience and try loads of different styles of food from different restaurants. I thought I’d found my favourite places of the year, but I came across an interesting Japanese restaurant that had a hotstone cooking. After I found out they had halal options they invited me to check them out.

@hotstonelondon which is located in Angel, North London. It was a great experience, good food and something different with some excellent Japanese food. I had a fantastic meal and big smile on my facing during the meal.

On the menu, there’s Australian Halal Wagyu available and Special halal sauces available.

The main picture is uncooked Wagyu beef ready to cook yourself on a hotstone at your table. Amazing marbling, that fat just added so much flavour. Cooking your own food might not suit everyone, so if it doesn’t there’s loads of other food to choose from.

The meal started with an amazing 3 style of Sashimi, featuring halal wagyu, seabass and butterfish. The favours fantastic.

One of my favourite dishes was the vegetarian miso aubergine. I’ve never had anything like this before, it was deliciously silky-smooth and packed full of flavour. £12. A 10/10 dish.

Also tried some sushi called 9 chapel roll £17.50 Grilled salmon slices, crab stick, red spicy mayo, tuna tartar. Brilliant. We also got to try a lovely looking sushi box, which had different types or sushi.

They also serve only fresh 100% Japanese wasabi which can take up to 3 years to grow. Fresh wasabi has a more vibrant flavour and enhances the delicate taste of fish to another level. The heat only lasts 15mins.

Overall I had a great meal and this ranks up there with one of my best. Prices are expensive though. So I’d go on pay day or for a special occasion.

I’m grateful that I was allowed to try so many different dishes as I know if had been paying it would have been a big bill. But it was brilliant food.

Farzi Cafe

Address8 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4BP

Okay, so technically this place I visited right at the end of 2018, but it was during a soft launch, the official opening was early 2019.

I’ve been here 3 times (2 times were invitations). The reason why I’m adding Farzi to the list is because of their amazing eid lamb roast I had. It was unquestionably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Ever.

However, although that dish is a special item and nothing that was only available for one week (you can get something similar on Sunday) their a la cart menu has loads of excellent dishes.

The Mantl

Address142 Brompton Rd, Knightsbridge, London SW3 1HY

After visiting here, I now have a different option for Turkish food. This pace lifts the bar with Turkish cuisine. The quality of meats they use and the love put onto dishes shows. Rather than doing the typical pile cheap cuts of meat on a plate and call it a platter, The Mantl has a focus on quality, not quantity.

Their Adana is a prime example of this. It had so much flavour than any other kebab I’ve ever had. It made me think, I’d rather one single Kebab than a plate of meat with standard flavour. Don’t get me wrong. There are somewhere you want a meat fix and I’m sure a standard Turkish platter would give you that fix. But The Mantl is about refinement, it mixes classic Turkish food and cooking styles with new modern and contemporary European methods.

I find there are 2 types of Turkish restaurants, your standard meats over charcoal grill piled up on a plate, don’t let me wrong, there’s the time when I like and want that. But then some restaurants try and pave the way and define itself with setting new trends

I tried a few things, including a selection of starters and a classic Mix Gill (which had one of the best Lamb minced kebab or Adanas I’ve a had)

The headliner of the menu is chefs special. Pistachio Lamb chops. (These aren’t the standard lamb chops served with the mix grill) . This is French trimmed, different cut, think and juicy chop, encrusted in a pistachio nut coat, served on a bed of shallot pomme puree (french for mash potato) and grilled asparagus. There’s was a perfect balance of ingredients using little surprise extras like pomegranate, watercress, lemongrass and nigella seeds. A must order.

The lamb itself was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender and full of flavour. Priced at £25 in Knightsbridge for a headliner meal is not bad when you consider all the factors in play

Oh and the Milk Kadayif pictured above was the best dessert of 2019.

Coqfighter Soho

Address75 Beak St, Soho, London W1F 9SS

Fat Pundit

Address77 Berwick St, Soho, London W1F 8TH

My day job is a freelance graphic designer, which means I work all over London, but mainly in Soho. I was walking to a new contract job when I spotted a new restaurant on Berwick St (which used to be home to a middle eaten halal restaurant)

Anyway long story short I had a quick look at the menu and saw that the dishes looked halal, and well most of them were. So, I arranged a meal here to check it out..since I pretty much worked next door, nice and easy after work.

The food is a fusion of Indian and Chinese. Everything I ate here was great, the menu is like small plates tapas-style dishes. Just a small menu with loads of good food. Split into momos which are steamed dumplings, veg, seafood and meat.

One of the best things on the menu is the Crackling Spinach, an excellent vegetarian dish, its like a chaat but with crispy spinach.

Also, a great dish is the double-cut lamb chops. Oh and don’t forget to order the sizzling brownie.

There is a separate halal menu available, ask for that when you order.

Al-Fanar

Address128 Gloucester Rd, South Kensington, London SW7 4SF

When you think of Dubai, you probably don’t think about traditional Emirati cuisine. I don’t know much about Emirati cuisine, which is why I was intrigued to visit @alfanaruk a restaurant that specialises in food from the Emirati culture and heritage, located opposite Gloucester Road Station.

The best way to describe the cuisine is a fusion of Middle Eastern, North African and Pakistan foods. I’ll be honest. The food was pretty good and much better than I expected.

The focus of the menu is grilled meats, seafood, chicken and lamb. There are hardly any vegetarian options on offer. Pretty much each dish comes with a choice of a large bed of rice enough to feed a family, so trust me when I said we had a lot of rice to take away.

The starters menu is small, we just ordered a small portion of grilled tiger prawns. £7.95. This is where things started to surprise me because these were great, full of flavour and delicious.

Lamb chops, despite being cooked well done, it was still tender and juicy because of the high quality of lamb chops used. It had been marinated with traditional spices and flavour came from the high-fat content and flavour imparted from the grill. £19 for 3 chops is pretty steep, however worth it if split in a group.

Another favourite was a lamb curry style dish, lamb nasheef (£12.95) from the breakfast menu, it was really tasty with subtle sweet tones. Definitely get this.

Speaking of the breakfast menu, I think this place does the bests parathas I’ve EVER had. The texture was unlike anything I’ve eaten before, upon taking the first bite I was like wow and straight away ordered the cheese and honey options as well, which were amazing.

From the desserts, my favourite were the golden ball things.

The food was very good and felt authentic. I definitely recommend this place and enjoyed the meal a lot. Service was a bit Meh, language issues. Also, I didn’t notice any alcohol around us. All food halal. I’ve give it a solid 8.5/

All the Halal food at Winter Wonderland 2019

0

Believe it or not, but up until this week, I’d never actually been to the every popular Winter Wonderland. Ever. So if you have been before, you know what it’s like. But if you haven’t it’s like a massive funfair with rides, activities and food stalls. It’s free to enter but every ride or activity has to be paid for, around £3 to £9 for anything.

Located in Hyde Park and accessed from tube station ls marble arch, Knightbridge. The place is massive… Like I had no idea it was such an expensive area. There are like mini towns inside other towns!

Anyway, I spend the best part of 3 hours having a good wonder and searching for as many food stalls that had halal options. Prices are expensive, but this is London, the minimum price for food is the £8 mark. So, if you haven’t been either or even if you are a seasoned pro, there’s content here that I’m sure will be useful.

Map

I have highlighted the Halal options on the map!

Here is an interactive google map that tags the location of where each photo featured here was taken!

The best place, in my opinion, is the Street Food Festival F5 on the map (below). It’s opposite the giant 70m wheel.

Here you will find the following places

Hanok

Definitely one of the best looking and exciting dishes. Steak and chips. £10
Only the beef is halal. The duck is not halal.

Other Side Fried

Location: Street Food Festival F5

Other Side Fried

Crunchy and juicy fried chicken burgers

All chicken halal.

Makatcha (Indonesian coconut curry)

Location: Street Food Festival F5

Tasty slow-cooked beef rendang £10 is one of the better things to eat in the whole park.
Beef, chicken and vegan halal

Fanny’s Kebab

Location: Street Food Festival F5

All meat is halal slaughtered

Here are some other veg and vegan options

Wood Fired Pizza (v)

Location: Street Food Festival F5

The Mac Factory (v)

Location: Street Food Festival F5

Mac and cheese in a cup. £8
No halal meat served, but vegetarian available

Moving away and as you enter from the gold entrance, the one with the colourful arches are 2 halal spots

Chicken Shack

Location: F1 As you enter via Gold Gate

Loads of different chicken options, Jerk chicken wraps and grilled chicken.
All chicken halal

Burgerclaus

Location: F1 As you enter via Gold Gate

Burgers and sausages. As you can see from the photos they have halal signs up, but also visible is bacon cooked here as well. I had a funny feeling about this one. I didn’t check the halalness of the place, so if you decide to go please double-check.

Thaimania

Location: Around the Angle Christmas market

Bossman (pictured) said the Chicken is Halal.

Fish & Chips

Location: Near F15 towards the Green Gate

Not just fish and chips, but chicken goujons available as well.

Chicken and lamb shish

Location: Near F17

No points for the unimaginative stall name. But the kebabs did look pretty decent. I Couldn’t see the prices but safe to guess it’s around the £8 mark.

Jerk Bar / Chicken Strips and Bites

Location – F13 – Near Angels Xmas Market

Chinatown

Location: F10

The only Chinese food tall, here I saw that halal chicken is available.

Schnitzel & Falafel

Location: F13

Flaming Catus

Location: F10

I didn’t see any halal signs, but loads of veg and vegan dishes.

Desserts

Now I was going to post pics of all the desserty places like Churros and waffles, but there are a lot of them around the park, so didn’t feel the need to feature all of them. Here are a few I saw.

The Best Halal Burger in London

8

UPDATED DECEMBER 2019

If there’s one type of food I eat a lot of, it’s a burger. I love them and think I know what makes a good burger. While putting this list together I realised just how many burgers I’ve consumed over the last 2 years or so. I’ve been writing this post for nearly 2 years, if there’s one type of food that divides option it’s a Burger.

There are over 70 Halal Burger joints in London, (I’m not including your local PFC that does that 99p cheeseburger). So there is a lot of choices. I have been to around 25 in London in the last 3 years, so I think I can give a good insight into what’s worth checking out.

View a gallery of most of the burgers I have had in the last couple of years.

https://goo.gl/photos/b8zHGx3sfq6kqQZTA

When it comes to burgers people have different taste and preferences. So it’s important to tell you mine as this does effect on the types of burgers I tend to lean towards. Also, one thing I noticed when putting my list of the best halal burgers in London together is my favourite ones have something in common…

– I like and prefer Burgers cooked on a flat top grill compared with a flame/charcoal grill.  I find that burgers cooked on a flat top maintain the melted fat from the burger patty. They also have a juicer consistency as the juices kept within the burger, especially if a dome is used to steam cook the patty. I don’t like burgers that have a smoky flavour and the thicker charred layers – something you get from using a charcoal or flame. On a grill, the fat from the burger drips off, and I like when the burger cooks in that fat, there is a particular taste that I love, this way the exterior gets nice and crisp.

– I like burgers that have some sweetness to them, this flavour is normally from the use of caramelised onions and from melted fat.

– Simple burgers. I tend to order a classic cheeseburger, I’m not keen on trying gimmicky burgers, filled with extras that don’t work or loads of beef stacked together.

– Mild Cheese, I don’t like strong cheese that is overpowering.

– I always look for burgers that have 80% lean ground chuck beef and 20% percent fat. The leaner you get, the less juicy the burger will be. The fat also keeps the burger together

On a grill, the fat from the burger drips off, and I like when the burger cooks in that fat. This way, the exterior gets nice and crisp

Now let’s set out some basic rules for this list.

 1. Burger must not exceed £10

There are a lot of burgers on the scene and many of them are packed with expensive cuts of meat or some other “chefy” gimmick. I think burgers over £10 is just too much, so keeping a cap makes it fairer as well, focusing on the quality and balance of ingredients. Just get a simple cheeseburger right, please.

 2. I have to had eaten the burger at least twice

Consistency is key and very important with burgers, you can’t just get it right once, you have to maintain a standard.

There have been times where I have had a burger and it’s been bad, but on a second visit, there’s a total change in the taste and quality or vice versa. Therefore to get a better average I have tried to visit the places on my list at least twice a single visit won’t be included in the main entry.

 3. Beef Burgers

For me, the King of the burger is the beef burger, it’s for sure the most popular. I also have tried to include a few lamb and chicken burgers. Lamb has a natural more flavoursome taste to the meat, it works well when the patty is mixed with some spices and cooked on a charcoal grill.

I don’t bother with a grilled chicken burger, I don’t think I have ever had one that I liked. When it comes to chicken burgers, I like it when they are juicy and made with chicken thigh and I like crispy spicy batter. There are not many places out there that do a decent fried chicken burger, but I have included a few of my picks for a chicken burger.

Jeez, why has this guy written so much waffle, I just came to check the list.   Now let’s set out some basic rules for this list.

This is my favourite burger in London. The team here have really developed this burger and it’s just getting better and better. The build is simple but the flavours from the beef are just so deep and fatty. Just so good. The burger is formed to 2 smashed beef patties that just have so much flavour.

The first time I ate here it only had been open for a week and I thought it had potential, I spoke with the owners and offered a few suggestions. I went back a month later and there had definitely been improvements. I ordered the American, which is basically a cheeseburger and it only cost £5. The taste of the beef was really great and I loved the sweetness of the onions and the bun. A simple but really well-cooked burger. The beef was cooked on a flat plate grill so it kept the juices there and really enhanced the flavours, I ordered with without mustard.

Over the weekend I went to check out @bandofburgersuk with their new location in Walthamstow, which was the former home to Brioche Burger one of the ex-elites in the game. Fair to say that Band of Burgers have picked up the Baton and are keeping the bar high.⁣

I checked out the new launch menu, featuring a selection of starters and burgers. First of all, a note has to be made with the quality of ingredients on offer. Beef used in burgers Is 35 days aged grass-fed Angus and Aged Wagyu as well. Only Organic products are used, no processed cheese here, they use fancy cheeses from Brough market working with Jumi cheese. ⁣

Unlike the other locations of band of burgers, this restaurant uses a flat grill to cook their burgers, It makes for a juicier, fatter and tastier experience. ⁣

I had pretty much tried all of the burgers on offer, my favourite were the big cheese and the Mexican. Great flavours, that melted fat taste that I love, soft sweet bun, a all-round good burger. ⁣

Another place that improved over time, this burger as a 6oz Beef pattie, mustard & ketchup, caramelised onions, American cheese, gherkins, in a brioche bun. Really good flavours of beef – with similar tastes of a Halal Big Mac from McDonald’s, with better quality ingredients.

Everytime I have gone the burger is always great. 2 delicious beef patties, with caramelised onions, chilli jam, roasted chiles and sweet fluffy brioche buns. So many flavours combinations happening here and just look at that melted cheese.

Simple, messy, tasty and yummy. Never had a bad burger here. The buns are soft, sweet and squidgy, the oily fat that drips off the burger is was I crave. Although the beef patty might be on the small size, it makes that up with its taste. Every time I have had a burger here it’s just hit the spot.

The Vintage Cheese Burger (£8.95). Now if you have never had a BigMac before this is what it tastes like. When I took my first bite it took me back to eating Big Macs (halal of course) so I liked this burger, simple in flavours, but tasted good. I have only had this once.

This place suffered from inconsistency and poor burgers when it first opened and because of that the reputation was damaged – and the truth is when it first opened the burgers were not great. However, on my last 2 visits, I have had a really good burger. This place has improved the way it cooks its burgers. I get it with no mustard, or pickles and add cheese.

Although this scores high, it doesn’t enter in my top 5, mainly because of the size, it’s just too small!

I work a few buildings down from this place and walk past it every day, in fact, I was one of the first-ever customers.

The issue with this place is the size of the burger and the consistency factor, first of all, you can finish the burger off in less than 4 bites, it’s tasty but a single is not enough, at £5.50 in central London it’s not bad, however, it is a fast food burger, not a gourmet. Also, every time I have had this burger it tastes different, sometimes I get a lot of meaty burger taste and sometimes none but get a strong burger sauce taste. This place is made for Muslims, it’s like a pricey McDonalds – I have a few non Muslims friends that have tried the burger here and just laugh at the standard – But since we have limited choices it will have to do for us I guess.

Still good for a quick bite, you can be in and out within 10 mins… my record is 6mins.

Once upon a time, Stax was the elite among the halal gourmet burgers in the Land,  made with 28-day dry-aged Pedigreed Sussex Beef on an Organic buttery soft bun with Grilled Onion, Tomato, Lettuce, Mayo and your choice of cheese. But it really suffers from a decline in standards, quality and taste over the years. When they first came on to the scene the burgers were the talk of the town, nowadays the burgers suffer from consistency issues. Being honest, I always got the bringing home the bacon burger, but that pushes us over the £10 limit.

With uncomfortable seating, it doesn’t make the best experience. Better off trying the sister restaurant Boondocks in Old Street.

When this place first opened I really was not impressed, however, they use 28 day aged beef as standard and you can taste the quality and deep richness of flavour. This Burger really is spicy! A beef patty, caramelised onions, lettuce, tomato, grilled peppers, jalapenos, sliced chillies & onions dressed in chipotle mayo & kick hot sauce.

A surprise entry for me – I might link eating this burger whilst being in a very good mood, on both occasions I went here with friends after watching Arsenal win the FA Cup. Despite it being busy I recall that the burgers were good, I got the Chilli burger made with Handmade red & green hot chilli salsa, Sriracha sauce, jalapenos, Sriracha mayo, lettuce, tomato & red onion. Make sure to ASK for the HALAL beef.

How many of my favourite dishes have you had?

0

Over the last couple of years, I have had been very lucky to eat amazing meals, but sometimes there’s a single dish that just stays in the memory and is stored in my vault of memorable dishes.

Below are some of my favourite single dish items that’s I’ve eaten. They range from single vegetarian items like the amazing Crackling Spinach. Chicken dishes like the grilled chicken from Franzos. The most amazing Andana Lamb kebab from The Mantal. The delicate and mind-blowing stone bass tika from Jamavar.

These are dishes that I love, I may have just had once and it just banged that day, or dishes I have all the time.

Is there a dish you think should be on this quiz? Leave a comment below or drop me a TweetEmail or DM on Insta.

New Restaurant! [Keep reading to find out how to get 15% off your bill] Finally there’s a good food option at the o2. I visit the o2 for the cinema pretty much once a week and there’s such a lack of halal good options but there’s a new Indian and Thai restaurant that’s opened up called @scarletrasoi

Yes, Indian and Thai, I had doubts with the combination but I really enjoyed the food here. The open Kitchen is split, on my visit, I saw different chefs that handle the Indian menu (70% of the menu is Indian) and separate chefs handle the Thai food

The menu is simple to digest and is split into 3 parts, starters which are all around £6 to £8, grilled items £10 to £14 and main courses £10 to £13

I was feeling pretty hungry and decided to order more than usual Here’s what I got.

🍽️Samosa Chatt
💷£7
Spiced aloo matar samosa doused with mild sweet yoghurt, tamarind and fresh mint chutney
💬The presentation was on point and so were the flavours of this dish, a must order – 8.5/10

🍽️⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Golgappa
💷£6
📖Mumbai’s popular cold chatt puri stuffed with spiced potatoes, chickpeas & tamarind. Served with infused water
💬⁣Looks great in pictures and tastes good as well, the puri’s came stuffed with all the good stuff already, I felt the Pani could have had more flavour. 7/10

🍽️Poppadom Morsels
💷£7
📖Mini poppadom topped with spiced prawn and chicken
💬Really liked these little bites of yumminess. 8/10

🍽️Steam Dumpling
💷£8
📖Prawns and chicken dumplings served with ginger soy and sambel
💬My least liked dish that I ordered, I didn’t like the sharp taste of the soy sauce that overpowered everything. 4/10

🍽️Lemongrass Lamb
💷£13
📖Lamb chops marinated with lemongrass and spices, glazed with tamarind and served with Asian slaw and garlic rice
💬When I first saw the chops I was expecting them to be overcooked and dry, but they were really nice, the flavour was had a unique taste to them. The rice that came along with it was nice as well.

🍽️Pad Thai prawn
💷£12
📖Rice noodles stir fry with egg, sweet turnip, tofu, beansprouts and Chinese chives.
💬 Nice presentation and

🍽️Masala fries
💷£4
💬These were not for me, too dry, they were just chips with some spice powder over it, I would have preferred if somewhere coasted or covered in a masala sauce.

Mocktails off-menu £3.95, No dessert available yet.

Chalida (Closed)

Date of visit – 12 June 2019

Sawadika (that’s hello in Thai) People! Back once again discovering the newest restaurants which halal options first for you. A good Halal Thai Restaurant in London.

I checked out a new Thai restaurant in Chinatown @chalida_thai I’ve been Thailand a few times and love Thai food, right off the bat I have to say the food here was very authentic and some dishes reminded me of food I had in Thailand

The halal bit: There are 2 menus, the first menu is the standard food menu. All meat is halal here, chicken, beef and duck. However, some items contain alcohol like a whole chicken that they set on fire at the table!

There’s another menu where you can order a massive hot pot and cook it at your table. This looked pretty epic but our server said its better to keep to one menu as the hot pots are very big and filling (pork is on this menu and also in one of the broths. However it handled separately and only cooked by customers and not in the Kitchen)

The main food menu has a lot of options and features the usual Thai dishes found in typical restaurants. But there were also some other options as well, I ordered a lot here are my thoughts on my favs

Bao buns. Beef and chicken, my favourite was the chicken thigh baos, not many places where you can get Halal baos these days £4.95 each

The chef’s special sea bass was reminiscent of a dish I had in Thailand once. A whole steamed bass in a spicy flavoursome lemongrass sauce. A very good dish £15.95

Tamarind Duck. Not a dish I’ve tried before, it was sweet and balanced well and had a nice texture from the crispy fried noodles £12.75

Clay pot noodles £9.95 glass noodles with chicken and prawn served in a very hot clay pot! Lacked flavour but easily fixed with all the extra sauces they give you.

Oh nearly forgot about the desserts. I got mango rice and the mango cheesecake. Both yum!

Definitely recommend this place for authentic Thai food. Good for friends, large groups, catch up, casual date night.

My meal was complimentary and thoughts my own.
