New Restaurant! [Keep reading to find out how to get 15% off your bill] Finally there’s a good food option at the o2. I visit the o2 for the cinema pretty much once a week and there’s such a lack of halal good options but there’s a new Indian and Thai restaurant that’s opened up called @scarletrasoi
Yes, Indian and Thai, I had doubts with the combination but I really enjoyed the food here. The open Kitchen is split, on my visit, I saw different chefs that handle the Indian menu (70% of the menu is Indian) and separate chefs handle the Thai food
The menu is simple to digest and is split into 3 parts, starters which are all around £6 to £8, grilled items £10 to £14 and main courses £10 to £13
I was feeling pretty hungry and decided to order more than usual Here’s what I got.
🍽️Samosa Chatt
💷£7
Spiced aloo matar samosa doused with mild sweet yoghurt, tamarind and fresh mint chutney
💬The presentation was on point and so were the flavours of this dish, a must order – 8.5/10
🍽️Golgappa
💷£6
📖Mumbai’s popular cold chatt puri stuffed with spiced potatoes, chickpeas & tamarind. Served with infused water
💬Looks great in pictures and tastes good as well, the puri’s came stuffed with all the good stuff already, I felt the Pani could have had more flavour. 7/10
🍽️Poppadom Morsels
💷£7
📖Mini poppadom topped with spiced prawn and chicken
💬Really liked these little bites of yumminess. 8/10
🍽️Steam Dumpling
💷£8
📖Prawns and chicken dumplings served with ginger soy and sambel
💬My least liked dish that I ordered, I didn’t like the sharp taste of the soy sauce that overpowered everything. 4/10
🍽️Lemongrass Lamb
💷£13
📖Lamb chops marinated with lemongrass and spices, glazed with tamarind and served with Asian slaw and garlic rice
💬When I first saw the chops I was expecting them to be overcooked and dry, but they were really nice, the flavour was had a unique taste to them. The rice that came along with it was nice as well.
🍽️Pad Thai prawn
💷£12
📖Rice noodles stir fry with egg, sweet turnip, tofu, beansprouts and Chinese chives.
💬 Nice presentation and
🍽️Masala fries
💷£4
💬These were not for me, too dry, they were just chips with some spice powder over it, I would have preferred if somewhere coasted or covered in a masala sauce.
Mocktails off-menu £3.95, No dessert available yet.
