When I first started food blogging, places offering a halal breakfast, whether a full English or eggs florentine, were few and far between. Fast forward to today and you’re spoilt for choice, with new brunch spots opening across London all the time.
This is my list of places to get a halal breakfast or brunch in London, split by area. Whether you’re after a classic full English, a stack of French toast, a Turkish breakfast spread or a desi halwa puri, there’s something here for you.

A note on halal status: it varies from place to place. Some are fully halal, some are HMC certified and some serve halal options alongside non-halal items. Where I know a place serves alcohol or uses pork, I’ve noted it. Always check with the restaurant before you go.

Cafe No 92, Isle of Dogs

A light, local café with plenty of halal options. Pork is on the menu.

Grounded, Whitechapel

One of the original halal full English spots in East London. It’s walk-in only, so expect a queue at weekends.
Hashtag Cafe, Seven Kings

A casual café serving halal breakfasts until late. Honestly though, this was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve had. It wasn’t great and I don’t recommend it.

A French patisserie and café with an outdoor area at the back. The slow-cooked short rib sandwich is the one to order.

A good-looking, fully halal brunch spot with dishes you won’t find anywhere else.

Colourful all-day brunch in an industrial-style space with a terrace. Pork is used in the kitchen.

Probably my most visited breakfast spot. It’s small, always busy and always consistent, with very good prices and lovely presentation.
