Up until recently, If you wanted to have the taste of a Halal McDonald’s you would have to travel to a Muslim country like Egypt, Turkey or UAE to fulfil that craving. I remember when I went to Dubai I brought back 5 cheeseburgers for my family and everyone was so happy. It’s strange how these little £1 burgers can bring so much joy.

Anyway, there’s no longer any more reason to travel 1000 miles because in 2019 there’s been an explosion of Halal Burger Joints that offer burgers that tastes identical to a McDonald’s cheeseburger or Big Mac.

Bims (the first place in London) came over from France and introduced it to the foodie scene here. It’s now been easier to get hold of 4oz 100% beef burgers and replicate that McDonalds taste!

Below are 7 places (6 in London) where you can get a Halal McDonalds Style Burger!

I’m Loving it.

The original and first restaurant in London to introduce Halal McDonald’s style burgers. I still remember when I first blogged about this place, the hype was crazy, do crazy that Bims had to shut down for 2 weeks to re-fit their kitchen to cope with demand!

From one of the owners of Fat Boyz comes Chicos (a restaurant that my wife named!). Although a little more expensive than other places that do the same McDonalds burgers

349 – 351 Barking Rd, London, England, E6 1LA

Chicos Double Cheese Burger

Fat Cafe

The cafe has just introduced a range of McDonald’s style burgers to their new Menu. Tastes just like a proper McDonald’s burger!

75 Goodmayes Rd, Ilford IG3 9UB

Munch Box

Although the burgers here are not 100% the same as a McDonald’s burger they are very close and make it their own style, rather than imitating McDonald’s.

A few weeks ago I posted about a £1 and £2 cheese burger that's become very popular . Well here's another place that does a similar cheese burger @munch_box_halal. I went a few months ago and liked the burgers and they have now relaunched a new saver menu. . It is take away only, you order at the window and food is ready within minutes. The quality is definitely better than a McDonald's burger, the beef has flavour and the burger also has an onion relish for extra flavour and texture. It's not 100% the same, but if you want to try something new and don't want to queue then it's worth trying out . I'm amazed how these burgers are only £1. For the price and quality it's fantastic alternative

Mak Burgers

I’ve not been here but thought I’d give some love to South London. They look similar to McDonald’s burgers and I heard they taste the same!

3 Mitcham Lane London SW16 6LG

Five Bros

Another new spot. Not been to this one either.

165 Globe Road, Bethnal Green, London E2 0LJ

Outside of London

They have a spot in London as well. I had one once when they first opened but I didn’t rate it.
