Elephant Royal, is located by a really nice part of the docklands over looking the river, so there’s plus points for the location. Inside the restaurant has a nice ambience and is spacious, with water features next to the tables where you dine.
For starters I offered prawn spring rolls and fish cakes. For Mains I went for the lamb massuman curry and lamb chops. For drinks I ordered a virgin pina colada and a Shirley temple. The food was good but not amazing. I have had far better thai food and for a lot cheaper. The prices here are very expensive for the location, i think you pay a premium for the venue over looking the river. Starters cost between £8 to £9. The curry was £12 and lamb chops £16. These prices are representing of central London. Im my opinion the food was not worth the money. The starters where not anything amazing, food is definitely fresh, i found curry lacked depth in flavour and wasn’t like other massuman curries I have had in the past.
So, overall, the atmosphere is really nice, but food and value is not worth it. Total was £64, Inc service, 2 drinks, 2 starters and 2 mains plus rice.
Chicken and lamb halal.
