There’s a new fully halal smokehouse that’s just opened up in Walthamstow, and at the helm is none other than the smoked-meat final boss himself, pitmaster Tiberius Tudor. So you already know the meat here is taken seriously.
Here’s what I ordered:
- Prime Brisket – £12 / 100g ⭐
- Dino Ribs – £11 / 100g
- Dukeshill Turkey – £9 / 100g
- Smoked Flap Steak – £10 / 100g
- Brisketwich – £14 ⭐
- Pitmaster Potatoes – £6
- Hill Country Slaw – £5
- Campfire Corn – £4

Everything here is cooked over fire, and when someone with this level of experience is behind the pit, you know the meat is going to deliver.
My favourites were easily the brisket and the brisketwich. The brisket was perfect: smoky, soft, juicy and packed with flavour.
The brisketwich is an epic pulled-meat sandwich, and the addition of the red cabbage slaw brings the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. So good.

The steak cooked over fire was a perfect medium rare, juicy with that smoky flavour coming through.
The ribs had a crispy exterior and were very rich, but there wasn’t much meat, mainly fat, so I wasn’t too keen on these. I also tried the turkey. It was juicy, but personally turkey has just never been for me.

The decor is simple and rustic, though it felt a little cold with the lack of warm touches.
The restaurant is owned by a Pakistani Muslim couple, and you may have seen a recent video where one of the owners was racially abused (this happened shortly after I left the restaurant). So if you love smoked meats and also want to show support for a female Muslim business owner, you know where to go.
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Limited street parking, free after 6:30pm and all day Sunday.
