Following on my list from 2017 Here is my list of places to go during Ramadan. If you are looking for places to spend time with friends and family and not have the fuss of cooking at home then I have put together a list of places that offer a special Iftar Menu or are Iftar friendly
- Some have prayer space onsite, some have a mosque nearby and some may not be able to offer prayer space.
- Always best to check before you go and it’s advised to book ahead.
- I have not been to all of these places, So I can’t comment on the food
- This list was put together with no one paying to be listed
Last night I was invited to check out the massive Iftar Talli from @tallijoe . You get loads of items off the menu and I have to say the food was really good. Each item was delicious, so it did taste as good as it looks. . You get the following * Halwai ki Mattar Kachori – Spicy pea-stuffed short bread in butternut squash & potato curry * Kale Chaat – Delhi street food. Our version – crispy kale, potato, pomegranate, sweet yoghurt * Moong Dal Pakori – Lentil Fritters, Mooli and Green Chutney * Truffle Ghee Kulcha – Naan stuffed with cottage cheese, brushed with truffle ghee * Chicken 21 – Stir-fried chicken tossed with South Indian spices & curry leaves * Fish Kempu – Classic Mangalorean crispy fish and okra, tadka mayo * Gol Baari Kosha Mangsho – Lamb roast on the bone + paratha. Inspired by Gol Baari of Kolkata * Bohri Chicken – Cooked with a secret combination of masalas of the Bohri community . It comes with dates, water and unlimited masala Chai as well as dessert. . They will have a private area downstairs, free from music and alcohol and will have prayer space. . The price is for the iftar special is £35 per person so the Talli would cost £70 for 2. Also 10% will be donated to the charity Curry for Change which supports street children in 19 Countries.

Good deal here, all this food for £8.50
The Iftar Menu from @pie_factory in Whitechapel and Ilford. . All of this food for £8.50! Not bad at all. Choice of pie, I got the Chicken and mushroom, one lamb chop, 2 BBQ wings, 2 Desi style Yorkshire pudding, salad, sauasge roll and gravy. . I was stuffed. Nice mini pie and the lamb chop was cooked medium as well, not well done like I was expecting. Definitely worth checking out. Food came before Iftar and we (I took my parents) finshed quickly. I was invited to check out the menu.
